Water Conservation

The Sub-Catchment is responsible for educating stakeholders on the practice of using water efficiently to reduce unnecessary water usage. Water uses are also educated on sustainable water resources as well as farming practices that do not jeopardize our finite water resources. Stakeholders are encouraged to also apply other good water conservation technologies such as sprinkler heads, drip irrigation, leak detection system, capturing and storing water.

Surface and underground water permits .
Equal access for management of water.
Allocation of water when there is insufficient water.

Threats to water quality

Siltation
Sewage spillage
Mining along river beds
Garbage deposit
Industrial waste

Water Resources Management

Also encourage stakeholders to have storage facilities and establish water conservation works or techniques or systems.
Stakeholders are encouraged to use technology that minimize water wastage and pollution.
In line with Sub-catchment protection, stakeholders are discouraged steam bank cultivation and cutting down of forests in river basins.
Key issue is to protect the wetlands and good land management practices.
Stakeholders awareness on water pollution and siltation to improve quality and quantity of water.
